Whenever I buy anything, I look for value. Low price is never the main reason I buy anything, but value is. When I received my Papoose kit from Larry Richards a few weeks ago, I really did not know what to expect but having talked to Larry on the phone and having swapped a few e mails, I got the feeling that I was going to get the value I wanted for the dollars I was spending. I think at that time the price for the kit was around $112-$115.00. I think there has been a price increase since.
I am a scratch builder also and very picky about the quality of the materials I put into my planes and as soon as I opened the kit, I could see that Larry shares that trait also. The components of the kit were packed with care and the quality of the materials was first rate. The craftsmanship and care he put into cutting the kit along with the quality of materials combined to make a value for the money I spent. In other words, I got my money’s worth.
Having spent my working career in sales and marketing, I know the value of communications with your customers. I think Larry must have called me no less than 3 times to explain something or ask me a question so everything would arrive as I ordered. He sent me as many e mails pertaining to the order also. I did not generate any of this communication….he did. This gave me confidence he knew what he was doing and was going to make sure everything went as smooth as he could make it. Another great value.
If you are looking for a great product, excellent service and reasonable price, I would highly recommend buying a kit from Larry. You will not be disappointed.
