I decided to get a pair of slow combat models for a change of pace. I ordered the Predator from GRS models. The models arrived, I inspected them and found a problem. One of the stabs is misaligned. George Cleveland seems to thing this won't be a problem, but i'm not so sure.

This is a common pratice from the designers of the AFF F2D combat planes. It is a 1 degree offset that is intended to keep the model out on the lines in tight and fast manuvers.
Have not flown this model but in general these models are a ball to fly. But watch the CG on your first flights as a tail heavy model is a nightmare to keep up with.
Slow combat is no longer being flown and has been replaced by Speed Limit Combat.
A 75mph max speed is the only requirement for this event. This means that any engine, aircraft and fuel system can be used.
i have been flying this event since the late 90's after flying Fast and Slow since the 50's. I have also been the Combat Event director at the Metrolina Control Line Society's (Charlotte, NC area) Two contests a year for the past 10 years. the last two years as the Contest Director.
This year we will have our Stunt, Comnat and FAI Scale contest on May 2nd & 3rd with Speed Limit and 1/2A combat events
Our's is the only combat contest in the southeast this year. The Jacksonville, FL flying rebels have put on contests in the past.
