How to open a private message

You alerted me, by e-mail, that I have a private message. What do I click unto, to receive it?

Bud,

When click on the link in that email message, your browser will direct you to the forum index, the place that shows all forums including this one. You should see be a line above the forum index window on the left side that mentions that you have received a private message. If you'll click on that link, assuming that you're logged in, you'll go right to your Inbox and be able to read that Private Message.

Otherwise, go to your user profile and click on the "Inbox" link. That will take you to the same place.

If you are logged in, there should be a notice at the upper left at the top whenever you get a private message. Click on that. Or, if you wish to view it again (or all of your private messages that you saved) to to the "user menu" at the top of the forum and then click on the "in box" on the left hand side.

I'll look, for these icons. (Didn't notice them, before.)

I finally found it. I was looking for the magic word "private" which wasn't there.

The reference on the upper left side stated "I have a message from Steve Helmick." I tried clicking on the icon, but nothing happened. I then tried clicking on his name, and, lo and behold, it worked!

Bill, you need to be logged in. Then go to the user menu at the top of the forum lobby

Once you have found and clicked on the user menu found at the top, then on click on the in box at the lower left side.

If you get a private message, there will be a notice at the top of the forum on the left hand side. Click on this and it will also take you to the inbox and any private messages you may have.
