If I'm logged in and I use the back button from the discussion forum to get back to the forum list, I get the message about the previous page having "post data" (basically context sensitive information) and if I watch closely it appears to be logging me in again. It isn't a problem for me, but it is probably generating more work for your system.

I am wondering if this is because you came in from the redirect. When Bob created that file he did so to make people log in which they had to do the first time around. This has since been removed so that it takes you there automatically without having to go through the log-in procedure.
If you bookmark the new location and come directly to the forum, and if you have checked in your preferences in the user menu to stay logged in, there shouldn't be the problem you described.

Coming in through the redirect must have been the issue. Came in through a direct bookmark and logged in, went down the hierarchy and back up without any funny indications.
