Why are the posts on the main forum out of sequence in time? A thread I answered this morning about Dave Brown is there between two threads where the last posts were after noon.

The posts are threaded. They do not go one under the other in sequence, but under the message you last read as responding to that message.
Now you have varius choices in how to view them--classic, UBB, or DCF (which is the default and suggested way to view them. Then you also have a choice of viewing them as collapsed or expanded, and in threaded mode or in linear mode. When you view them in threaded mode, they will indent under the message that they resonponded to. giving a better idea of which messages go where.
I would suggest you try out the options. At the top of the forum, in the bottom row of the separate white bar, you will find the options. Here you can change views, collapse or expand topics, and view them in linear or threaded mode.
Once you find the way you prefer to view the forum, you can go to the user menu at the top of the forum and make your choice in the preferences. That, then, will be the default for you. But you will still have the option of making changes in that little white bar at the top.
