My pc recently crashed due to a bad hard drive. I had a new drive installed and Windows XP reloaded and I'm in the process of putting all the pieces back together..drivers reloaded, etc. My web-based email shows a couple of private message notifications but they don't show up here in my inbox. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

Could these be old notifications? Your PC crashing does not affect what is on the forum. If the messages were uploaded to the forum they would be there. If they were something you deleted, then they are gone, but without the "cookies" showing on your PC you may have gotten fantom notices from old messages.
Just a thought.

These are current messages..EddyR sent me 2 messages in the past 2 weeks while my pc was gone. The DC forums notifications were in my Yahoo email but not in my inbox.

I am assuming you could read the message from the e-mail notifications. They should then certainly be in your inbox as well as long as you didn't change your account. Once you are logged in you have access to the user menu with all its features.
Puzzling otherwise.

I'm at work at the moment and thought I'd look at this thread again. I do notice something else.....if I'm logged in I only see this one thread in this forum. If I log out, I see a whole page of threads. Something weird is going on and I have no idea what it is.

When you log on, click on the "user menu" icon that appears in the top bar above the forum. On the left hand side click on "edit your preference". The third choice down is "Date Limit". Change this from the default of one month to "all available topics." I was always intending to change this default, but never spent the time to chase it down.

Your pm worked as I have it both in my Yahoo email and in my inbox here at Stuka Stunt. I don't understand what happened to Ed's two messages but it has to be linked somehow to my pc being down.
