Did somebody post a HUGE file?

I posted a quetion beginning with:

"Scientic Cadet or Giant Stuntmaster...."

I now has 8 replies and I cannot open the entire thread.

I wait about 5 minutes and it's only 33% open.

I can open everything else. Maybe somebody tried to do me a favor and post the whole drawing. Unfortunately, it's too RICH for my computer.

You pointed out what can be a problem if somebody tries to link to a larger picture of file posted elsewhere. However, that was not the case here. I can open the thread with ease (and just did). I suggest, perhaps, that you click the refresh button or delete your internet cache. There may be a corrupted file in your computer's cache that it is trying to open.

Thanks for the advice, but the problem persists.

I easily opened up several other discussion topics, some with many pictures and numberous replies.

However, "Scientific Cadet 1/2 A or Stuntmaster 35 " still will not open for me. It just goes to about 33 or 40% and hangs up. It worked OK during the first 4 repiles, but hangs up now that there are 8 postings. My guess is Number 8 locked up the system, since ther are no postins since then.

Thanks for the attention.

I have Windows XP and a Pentium 4 with plenty of RAM. I do use a phone modum ( not high speed cable ) .

I have not been able to locate the "internet cache". Can you give me a hint.

As I said a few times before, absolutley everything else opens OK for me. My " Scientific Cadet,,," postin it the only thing that won't work.

Incidently, it's been hung up on 8 replies for threed ays now.

Assuming you have Internet Explorer, click on "Tools" at the top, then "Internet options". Click on the "general" tab, and right in the middle where it says "Temporary internet files" click on "Delete Files". That should, hopefully, do it.

And, don't worry, nothing will be lost off of your computer. These are copies of files that your computer stores to make things load faster when you return to web sites. Your computer will generate a new set, and hopefully nothing that will block things from happening the way they should.

And if this doesn't help, we will have to find something else on your computer.
