Funny little Xs

When I try to click on pictures I get a little black box with a red X in it. I have started getting these on most websites including this one. Can anyone suggest a fix? Thanks a lot and fly safe.

That sounds to me like the picture file isn't there. Sometimes people try to upload a picture that is too large and it doesn't go, or they try to upload something that isn't a jpeg when the default jpeg is checked. But most pictures should automatically show unless you are using a browser that doesn't support them. Sometimes these "high speed" internet access providers use a system that shuts off picture loads which then "makes your internet journey 5 x faster".
