They should always download. Do you have a firewall installed that is preventing their download? If so, you might need to set the firewall to accept the site.

No firewall issue.
I can download and save 'em OK... They just won't open.
I download and open pictures from everywhere else..
How 'bout it, fellow SSW'ers? Can you copy & use pics from here?

I guess I don't understand your problem. If you can download the pictures and save them, then they will open. What are you using for a browser and to view the pictures?

I guess I don't understand your problem. If you can download the pictures and save them, then they will open. What are you using for a browser and to view the pictures?

I've had some similar problems with my new confuser. It didn't want to open photos I had in my files saved from the old confuser. It needed to be pointed at the correct software to open that file type, in this case, I believe it's called MS Photo Viewer, or something like that. Anyway, I've snagged and enjoyed a lot of photos from SSW and other sites. I'm not finding XP to be wonderful, yet. [photo not recovered: shocked.gif] Steve

All with XP, Service Pack 2, Windows Firewall ON, NAT'd 192.168.x.x IP address, built in 802.11g WAP encrypted protocol, Linksys WRTG54 router/switch/ w/Firewall & all the rest.
What I *can't* do is upload an image to this web site or use the search function.

The image was of proper size so there is no reason it should not work. I, too, am using Win XP with service pack 2, firewall, etc. and it works fine.
When you clidk on "reply" you will bring up the text box. Beneath that is the attachment box with a "click here to choose your file. When you click on that you will get a pop up window and that is what you use to upload the file. Even with my pop up blocker on that comes up for me. But you need to click on that, then the browse to find the file in your computer, and then click on "upload file". When it is done it will populate the "attachment" box and all should be done.
Follow the steps and you should have no trouble.
